the story behind the poem is my discussion with one of my friend in the blog about the women rights issues, and how most of the traditional or religious rule tend to put women in a difficult and weak position. It’s really happening around us through out the world, including Indonesia, for example the violence against women in marriage. I’ve seen how women have so little power over their own safety and happiness. How some man in the name of “god” and religions threat their wives in a bad way, divorce them in a shameful way, cheated on them, even re-marrying someone else without their permission..

So i tried to go back a little further, to a time when the first man meet his first woman.. Some kind of parallel world which show alternate ending of the fallen of humanity.. from the heaven above us, to the land where we are today..

What you will read is not HIStory.. But maybe.. This is (probably) the TRUE history.. “

THE true (HIS) story

When i open my eyes for the first time,

she’s already there..

and i saw how her trembling eyes watch mine with a look of a mother

and i saw there was blood, flooding from her chest..

and she told me

SHE made me from one of her ribs

and her name

was

EVE

.

…

for i never saw a true beauty

…

.

and then i saw that tree

with fruits so damn juicy

and EVE told me

“..never went near that tree..”

and i ask why

?

she hold me in her arms

and whispered in my ears

“because SHE told me..”

“…for it was the forbidden tree..”

but i didn’t listen..

and it’s happened

SHE said it was unforgiven

and my place was no longer in heaven

…

EVE begged if i could stay

so i’ve only been sent away

for i never saw a true beauty

i’m the tragedy

but EVE saved me

…

so can’t you see?
